Devlog 31: Backending

The first day and night of the game are finally playable, as in the game shouldn’t crash or have any problems through the first two days. You can also save and load between those two points since that’s finally been fixed as well. I’m still working on adding content past that, but for the most part it doesn’t seem like anything is extraordinarily broken.

There is still a severe lack of art, and trying to make a lot of it on my own is time-consuming and, quite frankly, doesn’t look very good. Character sprites and animations are being made by the artist I’ve hired and progressing well, and I probably will have to make the character portraits myself, I just need to get around to practing my art skills some more so they look good.

The highlights:

  • Added additional tasks for day 2 and night 2
  • Added additional emails
  • Added dialogue for guards depending on their personality
  • Cameras now reliabily detect the player
