Devlog 38: Composing

Since I’ve started working on this game, the biggest problem I had with it was that it felt scattered and directionless. There wasn’t much of a cohesive gameplay loop tying everything together. So this week was spent focusing on working out the logistics in the background, how characters should interact with the player and each other, and I think I’ve finally gotten a good gameplay loop down as well as clear goal(s) the player has to accomplish.

The highlights:

  • Clarified main gameplay loop, including how the player should interact with NPCs and what effect this will have on the world
  • Added additional music tracks
