The first batch of character art was finished this week (courtesy of fenssse), and it’s very cool to see these characters finally coming to life after all this time. However, I did learn one thing from this whole experience: art comes last. You may get tired of starting at placeholder or programmer art, but as long as it represents what it’s supposed to be and there’s still programming work to be done, paying for art can wait. Once all the programming and game logic is done, that’s when you’re supposed to start making it look pretty. A lesson I’ve learned for next time.
I’ve also started work on the trailer for the Steam page, which will be released when it’s ready. As for when a playable demo will be available, that will also be when it’s ready. Work is continuing, and it will continue until the game is done.
